Organize a meeting
We didn't want to scare you off, so we saved this one for last. But more than anything else, this is what we want you to do. Personal meetings with Members of Congress have been the key to all of the progress we've made in changing U.S. policy toward this crisis so far. Whether they happened at our Lobby Days, through Knock Knock, or other initiatives - these meetings have gotten us where we are now. But we need to keep going. It's as easy as 1,2,3.
- Set up a meeting.
- Get your group together and practice what you're going to say.
- Go.
Honestly, that's it. But you're not in this alone. If you go to our Knock Knock page and sign up there, we'll help you set up your meeting and make sure you're ready to go.
Remember - as elected officials, this is their job. And if you're not telling them about the kids in Uganda and what they can do to help, who will?
You can access the Congressional Scorecards to see how your Member of Congress has voted on this issue and to find their contact information. And check out our Get Informed section to brush up on the specifics.
If you have any questions, just call our office and we'll help you out: 202-548-2517.
