Dr. No, Please Say Yes (or we'll keep getting louder)
After thousands of us rallied, spoke, wrote, and lobbied for peace this past year, legislation aimed at ending Joseph Kony's reign of terror stands on the precipice of passing Congress.
But as we shared last week, Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma - nicknamed "Dr. No" - is using procedural rules in the Senate to single-handedly block the bill's passage, jeopardizing the progress toward peace we all worked so hard to create.
As you might have expected, we can't let that happen. That's why today we joined Enough Project and Invisible Children in launching Dr. No: Please Say Yes.
We will kick off this campaign with one month of action. Step one is generating 10,000 signatures for a nationwide petition.

Unless Senator Coburn hears from enough of us and allows the bill to pass, it will die with this session of Congress. That's why we have to act fast.
This past month, Kony's fighters attacked a remote village in the Congo and abducted upwards of 300 people, who remain missing. This horrific attack serves as a stark reminder of the urgency of our continued efforts to bring this crisis to the eyes of our leaders.
If our campaign succeeds and this bill passes, President Obama will be required to develop a strategy to help stop LRA attacks and abductions, see rebel leader Joseph Kony arrested, and provide lifesaving humanitarian assistance for the victims of Kony's atrocities.
