Hometown Shakedown results are already pouring in

Yesterday the Hometown Shakedown officially kicked off. Thousands of activists made phone calls to their Senators and Representatives, and 34 meetings were held in local offices across the country.

The results have been overwhelming.

So far, seven senators have signed up to cosponsor the bill, including Majority Leader Harry Reid and Foreign Relations Committee Chair John Kerry. This is massive. We expect more in the coming week. In the House, at least six have joined so far.

Right now, we have 35 Senate cosponsors and 133 House cosponsors - we need 50 Senators and 200 Representatives, so sign up now to hold a local Hometown Shakedown meeting over the next month or two and we'll help you every step of the way!
