Washington, DC rocks the 2009 GuluWalk

DC GuluWalkThis Saturday, Washington, DC joined dozens of cities all around the world for the 2009 GuluWalk.

More than 100 walkers turned out for the fifth annual event, walking three miles from John Marshall Park near the Capitol Building to the White House and down Constitution Avenue.

Walkers made calls to the offices of their Senators to support the Lord's Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act currently before Congress.

This year's GuluWalk brought attention to the needs of kids recovering from two decades of war in northern Uganda, and raised over $100,000 to support a youth cultural center in Gulu, Uganda.

Resolve Uganda thanks all those who made this year's walk another success, and remain committed to telling the story of children affected by this war!
