Historic How It Ends lobby day featured by BBC America
Last night, BBC aired a 3-minute video about the June "How It Ends" Lobby Day, hosted by Resolve Uganda with its partners at Enough Project and Invisible Children. It includes a clip of Senator Russ Feingold, the Chair of the Senate's Africa Subcommittee, addressing the crowd of nearly 1700 participants from 48 states (see picture).
So far, the advocacy efforts of Lobby Day participants have produced more than 100 cosponsors for the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act currently before Congress. Additionally, participants urged their Members of Congress to sign a letter about escalating LRA violence to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; just last week, her State Department wrote back to the 23 Senators and 96 Representatives who agreed to so.
