Invisible Children launches campaign to get legislation passed and Obama on the record

Today, Invisible Children launched a new "We Want Obama" campaign focused on getting President Obama to go on the record committing the United States to take urgent action to end escalating LRA violence in central Africa.

The campaign also includes an innovative tool that allows anyone to enter their zip code and see if their Members of Congress have yet sponsored the "LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act," the landmark legislation that Resolve Uganda has been promoting since its introduction this past May. Though pressure from activists has helped 133 Senators and Members of Congress agree to cosponsor the legislation, more is needed to ensure it passes this year.
