Leaders in House of Representatives Circulate Letter to Secretary Clinton Urging Action to Stop LRA Attacks
Represenatives Jim McGovern (D-MA) and Ed Royce (R-CA), longtime champions in the U.S. House of Representatives for human rights in Africa and for an end to Joseph Kony's attacks on children and families, are currently circulating a Congressional letter addressed to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to urge the Secretary to take immediate action to protect civilians from LRA violence and to seek Kony's apprehension.
The letter can be downloaded in full here.
Members of Congress have until this Friday to be added as signatories before the letter is sent, so calls should be made to Congressional offices to encourage them to sign. Participants in last week's "How It Ends" Lobby Day promoted the letter in meetings with more than 300 Members of Congress and their staff.
