Up to the minute information on who has signed onto the legislation

I know a lot of you have been anxiously waiting to find out who has signed on to cosponsor the bill over the past few days.

I just updated our special legislation page (www.resolveuganda.org/legislation) with all of the new cosponsors in both the House and the Senate. The current count is 13 Senate cosponsors and 60 House cosponsors. This is great news and a testament to the kind of results that tenacious, committed and educated advocates can achieve when they set their mind to it.

If you were in DC this week for How It Ends and met with an office that is not yet listed as a cosponsor, don't lose heart! We told you the importance of following up and being persistent and now's the time to put that into practice. The best thing you can do is call the Congressional Switchboard at (202)224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Senator or Representative's office. Let them know you met with them earlier this week regarding S.1067 or H.R.2478 and you want to know if their office has signed on yet.

We're getting word of more cosponsors all the time (Senators Levin and Whitehouse were both added in the time in took me to write this blog post) - so keep checking back!
