'How it Ends' results are already beginning to show

Just two days after the historic "How it Ends" lobbying efforts in Washington, DC, the results are already beginning to show.

Since Tuesday, when 1600 event participants conducted more than 400 meetings with Senators and Members of Congress, the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act has gained dozens of new cosponsors. The bill now has 13 Senate sponsors and 55 House of Representatives sponsors, demonstrating much more significant support for bold U.S. leadership to end LRA atrocities than any other initiative in the conflict's 23 year history.

We'll be soon posting more results from the event - which also featured keynote addresses from ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo State Department Africa official Phil Carter - and the updated tally of support for the bill soon.

The best way to keep up to speed on the bill's progress is by visiting www.resolveuganda.org/legislation which will be updated tomorrow (after some much needed Resolve Uganda staff recuperation...!).
