U.S. top diplomat for Africa comments on recent activity of LRA
While at the African Union summit in Egypt on Monday, Assistant Secretary of State Jendayi Frazer, the U.S.' top diplomat on Africa, commented on recent attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army, saying that the U.N. should boost its' peacekeeping capacity to contain or catch them.
This is a great sign that this issue is still on the radar of our government. Statements like this were non-existent just two years ago as the peace talks were getting started. People across the country have kept pushing this issue and we're seeing the results.
