Successful meeting in Washington State!

August 21, 2007:

A very successful meeting in Washington with a senior aide who is very close to the Senator – and an invitation to follow up with Capitol Hill staff for a commitment on both action points and joining in to co-sponsor S.1175!

Our group had a one hour meeting with Ardis Dumett – Director of Special Projects and a senior aide to Senator Patty Murray. She was very welcoming and interested in our work. We presented and left her with the materials provided by Resolve Uganda. She asked many follow up questions and advised that she would send the Senator an e-mail about our requests. Each member of the group was able to present about their interest and involvement with the northern Uganda issue.
