Taking Action in Texas!
Below, you can read Hannah's encouraging account of her meeting with Senator Cornyn's staff in Texas.
August 20, 2007:
On August 16th at 2:00 a group of us met with Kelly Coke, Deputy Regional Director for Sen. John Cornyn. We talked for 20 minutes explaining the mission of Invisible Children and the 2 actions that the Senator could take to support the peace talks and help end the use of child soldiers in the world. Kelly was given a packet with the provided information about the Child Soldier Prevention Act, the history of the war and the efforts being made to end it. It was a wonderful meeting and well worth the effort. Kelly said that Sen. Cornyn is very involved with issues in Sudan and would be interested in learning more about it's neighbor Uganda.
Thanks for letting us be apart of this massive effort. Your work is truly making a difference.
