"I believe we will eventually prevail on the issues affecting the lives and livelihood of all the world's people..."

(an excerpt from the reflection sent by John in Idaho, who met with Senator Crapo)

August 13, 2007

I'm John, one of the people who visited Senator Mike Crapo (R) Idaho today on behalf of Resolve Uganda.

We were well received by Senator Crapo and his staff members. The Senator told us that his staff goes through all the background material presented to him at such meetings. He promised feedback regarding his position on the bill to stop funding folks who use Child Soldiers would be given to our Resolve Uganda group at the beginning of September.

What got my attention from your organization, Resolve Uganda, is that we are working for the same goals in a decent forthright manner.
I believe we will eventually prevail on the hearts and minds issues affecting the lives and livelihood of all the world's people.
We Iadahoans, for the most part, are much distressed to see the impact that useless wars are having on humanity. Lots folks like me deplore the way our military might is being used for political, strategic and economic gain...
As an individual I promise that my efforts will not cease until our civilian leaders do something different with our resources; both human and monetary.
