Be An Advocate
The Resolve is run by a small team in Washington DC, and our mission can only succeed so long as dedicated individuals across the nation help carry it forward and fight relentlessly for our government to take needed action in seeing an end to the violence of the Lord's Resistance Army.
These individuals believe that the burden is not solely on our elected officials to create change, but also on each of us. They are a new kind of lobbyist, embodying the idea that we each have a responsibility as constituents---with power in our voices and our votes---to apply constructive pressure on our leaders, reorder a broken set of priorities, and enable the public mandate needed to end this conflict.
For the activist wanting to engage in the kind of effective and informed action needed to bring an end to this crisis, we exist to be your compass and your tool belt. We supply information and analysis of the crisis, vehicles for concrete and relevant action, and the invitation to make a move. After that, political and social change is in your hands.
Right now, you can join us in this endeavor to bring peace to central Africa and put a final stop to the threat of the LRA by signing up here. Be on the lookout for more tools soon!

Sara Jawhari, 20
Hometown: Kansas City, MO
Risk-Taker. Freedom Fighter. Student. World-traveler. Lobbyist.
"I am the product of two beautiful souls from the war-ravaged, yet forever beautiful country of Palestine. I've been blessed to travel a bit and have seen the faces of victims, the faces of oppressed----but most of all, the faces of the hopeful. Beautiful organizations like The Resolve have taught me and thousands of others how to effectively find and use our voices, both collectively and as individuals, on behalf of those around the world who can't, in support of their freedom and ultimately, their peace. For that, I am forever grateful."
Kevin Haran, 50
Hometown: Albany, NY
Father. Musician. Urban Gardening Advocate. Marketer. Lobbyist
"The world needs a lot of fixing, but it's all do-able. I want my kids to grow up believing that and doing what they can."
Lydia Natoolo, 30
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
University student. Activist. Dreamer. Community organizer. Lobbyist.
"I have known The Resolve as an organization for the last four years, first meeting the team in DC at the first Lobby Days. I saw determination in Michael and Paul as activists wanting to see lasting peace in northern Uganda and I admired their resilence and hardwork. I vowed to myself to follow in their footsteps. Now years later a bill is signed into law! What a legacy The Resolve has started."
John Parkhurst, 25
Hometown: Chattanooga, TN
Map-maker. Music-lover. Woodworker. Traveler. Lobbyist
"In a world with so much suffering, I believe the LRA crisis is unique in that it can be resolved---lasting peace is possible. By working on behalf of those oppressed by the LRA, we actively help to end this conflict. I'm drawn to opportunities for political engagement, demonstrating the ability to influence our government as a force for good in the world. Through my faith, I believe I have received a love from Christ that compels me to love others. It's a privilege to stand up for those who have no voice and show them that they are loved."
