To make sure that this movement for peace is as effective as possible, we want you to have access to as much information as you need to understand how this conflict has evolved and what can be done to stop it. This war will end when our leaders care enough to help end it, and you can make that happen. After all, knowledge is power.

Policy 101 (What we're advocating for and why):

  • We've come a long way since the Juba Peace Process and there are a lot of questions about how and why advocacy on this issue has shifted. Read this piece called "Negotiations, No-Shows and New Developments" that explains what's happened over the past few months and where we go from here.
  • Check out Resolve Uganda's Policy Q&A that touches on several issues related to the specifics of the LRA Disarmament and N. Uganda Recovery Act, the role of the US in ending this conflict, and what we can all do to make that happen
  • Click here to read about the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009 and see what exactly the US Congress can do right now to help achieve peace.
  • Read this statement from 22 humanitarian, faith-based and human rights groups who are supporting the legislation as well.
